Businesses building SaaS products with complex operational workflows, mobile execution, offline capability, and configurable process logic.
Twenty years in the crafts industry and fifteen years of running a company meant daily customer visits, inspections, and extensive paperwork.
Paper forms for commissioning, maintenance, documentation, and signatures were deeply embedded in everyday routines.
Over time it became clear that these processes were slowing work down and creating unnecessary friction.
The idea was simple in theory but ambitious in practice: replace paper documents with digital checklists, manage customers, products, and service orders in one system, and create a solution that truly fits how craftsmen work in real life.
We designed and built a full SaaS platform tailored to the realities of craft businesses.
The solution combines a web application for managing checklists, customers, employees, products, and service orders with a mobile app for on site execution, both online and offline.
An admin dashboard allows Checkwerk to manage accounts, memberships, and access rights, while a landing page supports product presentation and user acquisition.
The system was built to support daily operations without forcing craftsmen to adapt to complex software logic.

Checkwerk offers flexible onboarding with a traditional email registration secured by one time password verification.
After registration, users complete a guided onboarding process to provide relevant profile information.
Profiles serve as the foundation for personalized content access, memberships, and organization management.
Users can manage personal data, review activity, and delete their account at any time, ensuring transparency and control.
The checklist configurator is the core of the platform. It allows admins to create flexible checklist templates using drag and drop components such as text fields, images, checkboxes, signatures, and mandatory or optional elements.
The configurator was designed to be fast and intuitive, enabling non technical users to build complex checklists reliably.
Reusable components ensure consistency while still allowing customization for different use cases and businesses.
Checklist templates can be assigned to customers or products and managed centrally. Once executed, templates become completed checklists that can be reviewed, exported, and shared with customers.
Admins have full visibility into all checklists created by employees, while employees focus on execution through the mobile app.
This separation ensures clarity and control across the organization.
Employees execute checklists directly in the mobile app on site.
They select the customer, choose the appropriate template, and complete tasks using photos, videos, audio notes, text entries, GPS data, and signatures.
Offline capability ensures uninterrupted work. Data synchronizes automatically once connectivity is restored, guaranteeing completeness and accuracy.
Admins manage customers and multiple locations per customer within the platform. Access rights define which employees can view or edit specific customers.
Customers are linked to products, products to checklists, and all activities are traceable digitally.
This structure brings transparency to service operations that were previously fragmented across paper and memory.
Products can be created with relevant data and associated checklist templates.
When assigned to customers, local instances are generated while global changes remain synchronized.
The platform operates on a membership model with a free trial followed by tiered plans. Billing, upgrades, and cancellations are handled via Stripe with full transparency.
The biggest challenge was understanding the complete workflow of craftsmen and translating it into a digital solution that feels natural rather than disruptive.
Craftsmen are experts in their tools and processes, but software must be extremely intuitive to be accepted in daily work.
The checklist configurator had to be flexible enough for different trades while remaining simple to use. We conducted workshops to uncover dependencies, identified common checklist elements, and transformed them into reusable components with clear labels and guidance.
Balancing flexibility, simplicity, and real world usability was the central challenge of the project.
We learned that involving real users early is critical when digitizing operational workflows. Simple interfaces and clear language matter more than feature richness in hands on environments.
These learnings help partners build tools that are adopted in everyday work, not just technically correct. They reduce training effort and increase long term usage and satisfaction.
