Step 1
Requirements Analysis
We partnered with RMN Events, a kids wrestling league, to assist with their digital transition. We began with process analysis and product definition, remaining involved through implementation and nationwide scaling.
Startups and growing companies with complex domain rules, operational workflows, or event driven business models that need a reliable digital foundation.
RMN Events operates one of the largest children's wrestling leagues in the United States. Core processes such as event planning, athlete management, result tracking, and revenue handling relied on paper, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools. The idea was to digitize these processes end to end and create a single platform supporting athletes, coaches, spectators, and employees before, during, and after events.
We partnered with RMN Events to design and build an integrated digital platform that replaces fragmented workflows with a single, scalable system. The solution consists of mobile apps for participants, a public website for discovery, and an admin system for internal operations. Together, these components enable paperless event execution, real time communication during events, and structured management of athletes, results, and revenue.

Deployment & Operation
RMN Events allows users to register using email or social login options. A secure onboarding flow guides users through account creation and initial setup. After registration, users can create and manage athlete profiles, which are required to participate in events.
Within their account, users can update personal information, manage access rights, and control visibility of athlete profiles. Accounts can be edited or deleted at any time, ensuring transparency and user control throughout the lifecycle.
A primary part of the platform are the events. Events display detailed information about general information and regularization. Available divisions in wrestling, special information and suitable hotels for accommodation are displayed.
The user can find events in an explore function. Be it in an interactive 2D map or in a structured list. With a few clicks, the user can find suitable events and see at a glance whether athletes have already been registered.
Users can buy products or register their athlete profiles to participate in the wrestling event. Depending on whether an athlete profile has a valid Season Pass for the current season, registration is free.
The RMN Events employees can process all events and handle them. Scan purchases as QR codes or add new purchases manually. Send messages to all event visitors or assist users with questions using event based live chat.
At the end of an event, the ranking of the event is uploaded so that every user can see the result of his and other athletes.
Another primary part of the platform is the athletes. Athletes are part of an account and can be created and edited by the account user. To make talent scouting possible, users can request access to other athlete profiles and ownerships can be exchanged.
In the athlete profile, registrations and the results for the current or past seasons are displayed. The progress and final results of awards in a season can be viewed in real time.
Each season has a certain number of awards that require different conditions to be eligible. The awards are created by the employees at the beginning of the season using different conditions.
By importing event results, a specially developed algorithm determines the progress for all athletes and displays it to the users in the app or on the website.
The platform includes real time communication features that connect participants and staff before and during events. Users receive notifications about schedule changes, event updates, or important announcements. An integrated chat allows participants to contact RMN Events employees directly during events. This reduces on-site confusion, improves response times, and supports smoother event execution.
RMN Events employees use a dedicated admin system to manage all operational aspects. Events can be created, edited, and moderated centrally. Purchases are validated on site using QR codes to speed up check-in and reduce manual effort. The system also supports employee management, support handling, reporting, and revenue tracking. This gives RMN Events full visibility and control over operations across all events and seasons.
The main challenge was translating deeply ingrained, wrestling specific processes into a reliable digital system. Rules around events, age classes, weight divisions, rankings, and awards had evolved over many years and were applied differently depending on context.
These dependencies had to be implemented accurately while mobile apps, web platform, and admin systems were developed in parallel.
Edge cases were common and often only surfaced through real event scenarios. Ensuring correctness across platforms while keeping the system understandable and maintainable required careful domain analysis, close validation, and clear ownership of business logic.
We learned that complex domain logic must be validated early using real data and real workflows. Assumptions quickly break in practice. Close collaboration with domain experts and centralizing business logic significantly reduces rework and long term complexity.
These learnings reduce risk for products with complex workflows and rule sets. They enable clearer early decisions, more resilient architectures, and systems that scale without breaking when real world edge cases emerge after launch.
If your product depends on complex rules or operational logic, validate them with real data before scaling development. Early clarity prevents costly rework later.
The most special part of the project was the development of the award and ranking logic, which required deep immersion into the sport of wrestling and RMN Events’ specific rules. This was not a standard feature that could be implemented from documentation alone. It demanded a shared understanding of how seasons work, how age and weight class changes affect eligibility, and how different event types influence rankings.
Together with RMN Events, we translated these rules into a transparent and reliable system. We built proofs of concept, ran simulations with historical and live event data, and iterated repeatedly until the results matched real world expectations. Edge cases such as mid season weight changes or age transitions were tested and validated deliberately.
This step went far beyond implementation. It showed our willingness to fully understand the domain, take responsibility for correctness, and identify with the product as if it were our own. The result is a system that participants trust and that RMN Events can operate with confidence at scale.
Vitec delivered a scalable web and mobile platform that replaced multiple legacy systems and streamlined communication across our entire operation. Their structured approach, speed of execution, and reliability allowed us to move from idea to market without costly rework.
Every successful project leaves behind measurable results and a clear path forward.
